Environmental clubs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology reserves for future computer purchases and upgrades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playground reserves for outdoor playground upgrades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sports day refreshments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0And more &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-b8405c7f\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2016-2017\u00a0Purchased Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full Apple Laptop replacement (just under $40,000)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parent education program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200bAnd more &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-7496c38b gb-tabs__item\" id=\"gb-tab-item-7496c38b\" role=\"tabpanel\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MPAC follows<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd44.ca\/Board\/PoliciesProcedures\/Series400\/Policy413\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Policy 413: Corporate Sponsorships, Partnerships and Advertising in Schools.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Decisions on the methods of raising funds for the school shall be made in consultation with the school\u2019s principal in accordance with School District policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The money that the MPAC raises has a huge impact on school life. &nbsp;It enables the MPAC to fund a multitude of&nbsp;services,&nbsp;events,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/weebly-link\/740794875775251587\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">programs<\/a>, and equipment that enrich school life and excite children about their school experience.&nbsp;The PAC raises this money in several different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Fundraisers Events<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Christmas Market,\u00a0Welcome Back BBQ, Family Nights and more.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hot Lunch\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; restaurants provide meals at wholesale prices, the MPAC sell the items with a small mark-up to make a profit.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct Donations\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 families <a href=\"https:\/\/montroyalpac.com\/?page_id=1051\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1051\">donate<\/a> money directly to the MPAC.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u200b<\/strong><strong>Provincial\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Gaming Gra<\/strong><strong>nt<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 each year the MPAC Treasurer\u00a0applies for a Provincial Gaming Grant. \u00a0Although it is a huge benefit when it is received, it is not guaranteed\u00a0every year.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gaming.gov.bc.ca\/grants\/pacdpac.htm#one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more>><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-711467a4 gb-tabs__item\" id=\"gb-tab-item-711467a4\" role=\"tabpanel\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fundraising by the Montroyal PAC supports a whole range of\u00a0expenditures that are a big part of your child&#8217;s daily experiences at\u00a0school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Official school operating budgets can keep the school running, but they don&#8217;t leave room for extras. PAC support provides bigger\u00a0items like laptops and new playground equipment. It also supports\u00a0cultural performances at the school and supplements class supply\u00a0spending for teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We aim to be judicious in our requests for\u00a0funding from our parents, but it is essential that we receive this\u00a0support.
